Join Michael Meade in Seattle for this in-person workshop about how as the world becomes more conflicted and chaotic, we have a greater need for practices that are centering, restorative and creative. Throughout the ages, meaningful practices have served as primary pathways for psychological and spiritual growth and for finding an inner sense of refuge and unity.
The soul’s inner aim has always been to practice becoming who we already are at our core. The inward practices of meditation and the paths of creative arts such as music, painting and writing are primary ways to self discovery that help us become more vital, authentic and resilient.
Whether through creative arts, contemplative practices or a combination of them, we need ways to keep renewing our spirit, opening our hearts and finding healing and inner coherence. If we cannot sustain the vitality of our own being we become unable to help change the conditions that threaten the future of humanity and the Earth itself. A heartfelt practice can help inspire, heal and transform our lives; it can also help us contribute to a world in need of imagination, healing and renewal.
DURING WORKSHOP YOU WILL LEARN:
- How a meaningful practice becomes an antidote to being overwhelmed by upheaval and uncertainty in the world.
-
How a practice can open paths of creative expression and radical resiliency while also helping to reveal your true aims in life.
-
How specific practices relate to our inner nature and genius qualities.
- How beginner's mind can keep us from getting stuck in old patterns and being discouraged by a troubling world.
- How the archetype of creation is activated as the world becomes less coherent and more chaotic.
