It is our mutual fate to find ourselves in a divided world, facing uncharted territories. The maps we were given no longer describe the troubled terrains of both nature and culture. Yet, our collective inheritance includes a heart that is a vital organ, but also a great inner territory as wide as the heavens, as deep as the earth.
Like the earth, the human heart bears an inner flame that can burn with intense passions and deep longings, but can also illuminate paths of compassion, healing and renewal. The wisdom of the heart includes the Well of Great Memory that connects the ancient knowledge with future potentials. Thus, changing fate requires a greater way of seeing, a deeper way of being, a genuine change of heart that transforms life from within.
Each heart can be mined for courage and each soul is imbued with creative imagination. Yet, often we must be driven to inner resources by fear, grief and despair. Our greatest obstacles and sufferings aim at a revelation of the heart within our heart. For, what the heart loves is the cure and what cures the human heart can help heal a broken world.
