We live in a period of worldwide crises that seem impossible to solve or overcome. At the same time, we are in what the ancients knew as Kairos, a break in the wall of time that allows the eternal to enter and alter the course of life dramatically. When time breaks, timelessness can pour into our hearts and minds. Such moments are inspiring and transformative as the storyline we are intended to live becomes more visible and our life purpose becomes more tangible.
While Kairos is the opportune time for meaningful change, Eros is the movement in the heart that makes genuine change possible. Eros is the secret glue that holds everything together and the part of us that desires to connect and longs to create. Eros is part of the calling in each person’s life, as that which truly calls to us has something timeless and divine in it.
Taken together Kairos and Eros can present a creative time in which the original potentials of life return as part of a renewal of the living world. We are not alone, but can be inspired and empowered whenever a break in time meets an open heart.
